Cancellation Policy
Our Commitment to Clarity
We understand that plans can change. This Cancellation Policy outlines our terms to ensure transparency and fairness for both you and EventRepublic. By booking our services, you agree to the terms below.

1. Cancellation Notice
All cancellations must be communicated in writing via email to events@eventrepulic.mv or sales@avancemaldives.com.
Verbal cancellations over the phone will not be considered valid unless confirmed in writing.

2. Standard Cancellation Terms
Notice Period Charges
30 days or more before the event Full refund of advance payment, less any non-recoverable third-party costs already incurred (e.g., vendor deposits, artist fees).
Less than 30 days before the event Full contract amount is payable, regardless of work completed.
3. Festive Season Cancellations
During festive seasons—including but not limited to Ramadan, Eid, National Day, New Year's Eve, and Christmas—the following applies:
Advance payments are non-refundable.
Events cannot be canceled once confirmed and deposit is paid.
If a cancellation is unavoidable, the full contract amount remains payable.
Festive season dates are defined by EventRepublic and communicated at the time of booking.

4. Cancellation After Work Has Commenced
If work has already begun (including equipment preparation, fabrication, or on-site setup):
If work is less than 90% complete, refunds or partial refunds may be discussed on a case-by-case basis, depending on the nature and cost of work already performed.
If work is 90% or more complete, full charges shall apply.

5. Weather & Force Majeure
If an event is canceled or postponed due to weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, or other circumstances beyond the client's or EventRepublic's control, the following applies:
If work is less than 90% complete, a partial refund may be offered after deducting costs already incurred (materials, labor, third-party fees).
If work is 90% or more complete, full charges shall apply unless otherwise stated in the contract.
Postponed events may be rescheduled subject to availability, with advance payments applied to the new date.

6. Third-Party Costs
Where EventRepublic has incurred non-recoverable third-party costs on your behalf—such as artist deposits, vendor bookings, travel arrangements, or materials purchased—these costs shall remain payable even if the event is canceled, regardless of notice period.

7. Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be processed within 14 business days of cancellation confirmation.
Refunds will be made using the original payment method wherever possible.
Bank transfer fees or payment processing charges may be deducted from refunds where applicable.

8. No-Show
If EventRepublic arrives at the venue as scheduled and the client or event is not present, or the client cancels on the day of the event, the full contract amount shall be charged with no refunds.
